Why send a hand stamped card???
Why send a hand stamped card??? After all, we’re all really busy. Who has the time to make a card, let alone mail a card? And the cost of postage is always climbing! Have you heard that this year the Post Office expects even more delivery delays? I mean, really. Why make the effort?!?!?!
There is only 1 reason. Because it brings joy to the recipient.
How a sending a hand stamped card brings JOY
This is what happens when someone sends a hand stamped card:
- It arrives is the mail! Name one person who doesn’t like to receive “snail mail” that isn’t a bill or junk mail.
- It can be displayed! I keep all my paper-based cards in a basket. But my favorites are displayed in the dining room, living room and kitchen. Pretty decor always makes me happy!
- It shows that you care. First of all, you’re sending a card with good wishes. But you’re sharing a piece of yourself because you’ve taken TIME to make and/or send the card. The gift of time is priceless!
When I receive an e-card, I appreciate the good wishes. However, I typically delete it quickly. What about you? I certainly don’t display it. After a short while, I may even forget that I received it.
Isn’t this different than receiving a hand stamped card?
How you can send a hand stamped card
First of all, you can make a hand stamped card. You can design your own. You can search the web at sites like Pinterest and find designs to copy. Or you can use one of mine (found online and in my newsletters).
You can take one of my card classes. In card class, you make some cards that you can duplicate again later on your own. (Note: I used to give in-person classes, but I’ve moved to online classes since the start of the pandemic.)
You can purchase hand made stamped cards. I make cards specifically for sale and show them in a couple of places. Since most people want a large number of holiday cards, the best place to start is here. These cards are designed and priced to be purchased in multiples.
If you want only a few cards, then my Etsy store is the place for you. The card designs here are a little more “involved”. Thus, the pricing reflects the materials and effort to make them. My Etsy store will open soon.
Several good options. Which suits you?
Send JOY to someone
Whatever option you choose, be sure to send someone joy this holiday season. Or any day for that matter.
This may be the only joy that someone enjoys on the day your card arrives.
Send JOY.
