Simply Sketched with the New Catalog

Welcome to the new catalog year! Today’s project shows an opportunity to simply sketch with new products from the new catalog! Check out this card.

Express yourself with this beautiful watercolored flower.I love this flower. All stamped images are from Simply Sketched, one of the hostess sets in the new annual catalog. I stamped the flowers in Garden Green and allowed the ink to dry well. Then, I applied Soft Sky and Island Indigo ink using a blender pen. You don’t have to be an artist to shade the flowers. Anyway you do it, they turn out great!

The vertical banners were all cut out by hand. The ovals were cut using the Big Shot and the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies.

Did you notice the tiny pierced holes around the white oval? I’ll tell you how I did it, but it’s a secret. Sh-h-h-h. After stamping and blending, I lay the card stock on the Stampin’ Pierce Mat. I laid a smaller oval Framelit on top. Holding it in place, I traced the oval shape with the Paper-Piercing Tool. Take a closer look at the next photo.

A closer look at the Simply Sketched piercing and glitter! It’s a little difficult to see, but I applied some 2-Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. After all these years, this is still my favorite glitter to use on a card!

Today is a very special day. At noon, you can begin to order products from the new annual catalog. However, until Monday, June 3, you can also order retiring products. This is the first time that Stampin’ Up! ever over-lapped the two sales periods. That gives us lots of choices as we head into the weekend!

If you would like a catalog and haven’t received one from me, here is all you need to do. Send me a private email and provide your name, mailing address, phone number and email address. I’ll send you a catalog, free of charge. However, I will follow up by telephone, to see if there is anything that you’d like to order. So, let me know if you’re looking for a catalog. In the meanwhile, look at this Simply Sketched with the new catalog!
