I love Tuesdays, because that's the day that Stampin' Up! offers its weekly downloads. Those are the digital images that you can buy to use in My Digital Studio, the digital design program that most of us use for scrapbooking and card making. This Tuesday, it's even better. Here is today's project, that I made with one of the newest downloads, Hanukkah Happiness Ensemble. It's a tri-fold card, finished size 5" x 3.5". Pretty cool, isn't it? And it took me only minutes to make it. Of course, I can continue to embellish it digitally – and I will. But it's really fine, just the way it is. And, by the way, I can't make this myself in the physical world, because I don't have card stock that's 15 inches long!
It's hard to tell from this photo, that the card folds into 3 equal parts. The Happy Hanukkah is on the front cover, and the photos are on the right side of the inside. I'm not showing the back side of this card, which has further photos and a note.
I can now send it to our Professional Print Services and have it printed on beautiful card stock. Easy and quick as can be! It certainly makes some of holiday preparations much easier!
Don't need a Hanukkah card? The second digital download I purchased today is Waiting for Santa Ensemble. The advantage of buying an ensemble is that it contains a set of products that coordinate, such as Designer Series Paper, stamp brush sets, embellishments and templates.
A template allows you to start with a complete design prepared by artists. You can use it exactly as it comes, or swap out items, as I did. Okay, I admit that my trifold card started as a designer template that I purchased over 2 years ago! I just swapped out the elements that I wanted to use, moved them around and added my photos. While I didn't take advantage here, you can insert stamped images with a drop shadow, giving an interesting 3-dimensional effect. All I can say is WOW!
