Today’s design is a baby bundle card in vintage colors. I have made so many cards these past 3 years with this cute stamp set. But this is a more unusual color combination. Choose it if you’re tired of the typical pink, blue, yellow or aqua palettes.
The primary stamp set is Baby Bundle, introduced three years ago. This set, with all the little baby bottles, teddy bears, rubber ducks and rattles – just to name a few – is perfect for gifts, announcements and invitations! I also used some of the hearts in the background from Itty Bitty Bits.
Note that both stamp sets retire this weekend!
Hearts and a baby stroller can become boring, no matter how cute the baby is. So, to add interest, I stamped the focal image and mounted it on ovals, cut with the Big Shot and the Ovals Collection Framelits™ Dies. These framelits makes it super easy to create even-thickness mats.
Along the right margin you can see a raised curve, created with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions. Embossing Folder. It works well with the oval mats! I stamped hearts with the Small Heart Punch, attaching some with Stampin’ Dimensionals. If you click on the photo, you’ll see a larger view of it. Can you see that I colored the polka dots? By the way, colors on this project are River Rock (soon-to-be-retired!), Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.
If you need the Baby Bundle stamp set to round out your collection, remember that you can purchase it only until Monday, June 3. Don’t put it off and then regret your decision. If you’re not comfortable ordering directly at my online store, then send me a short email. I’ll help you through the process.
Of course, if you want to make this card in more traditional colors, that’s easy to do! But for me, today I was in the mood for a baby bundle card in vintage colors!
I sure wish somebody would let me know that I need this stamp set (still anxiously awaiting the “Grandma” call!), but I guess I’ll just have to wait)….sigh. Anyway, it’s a darling card and I love the color combination. River Rock is such an unusual color — not quite green, not quite gray, not quite beige. So it goes with EVERYTHING! And so clever to add that little bit of embossing with the Adorning Accents. I must remember that!!!
Listen carefully … You need this set =)
It retires on Monday. However, the good news is that there are other appropriate sets in the new catalog, should you choose to wait. Just let me know how you’d like to proceed.
