I’ve said many times that Circle Circus is one of my Go-To stamp sets. It retires this Friday and I’m going to miss using it. Here is a quick card I designed over the weekend.
I used only two stamp sets: Circle Circle and Beautiful Birthday. I usually use a sentiment in a simpler font with the detailed, busy circles, but I felt particularly “intricate” at the time! However, I kept to two colors (Island Indigo and Pool Party) to tone it down a little.
The card design is classic. 3 layers of card stock on the card base. I punched out each stamped image, with one of our easy-to-use punches. That gave me the freedom to move things around several times, before deciding on the final placement! (Punches used were 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle, 1-1/4″ Circle, 1″ Circle, 3/4″ Circle, and the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.)
And to keep things a little interesting, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals behind a few of the punched shapes.
The best part is that this card can be adapted to any occasion: anniversary, holidays, sympathy, baby. Just switch up the colors and change the sentiment. It even makes a suitable card for a man. (How many times have we all said, “I need more cards for men”? This is the design to help you out!
Easy to make, but looks much more complicated. I’m going to miss this stamp set. This is your last chance for Circle Circus.
Oh my gosh!! I just pinned this, thinking “love the colors, love Circle Circus and Sandi was just saying how much she loved the Happy Birthday stamp”! Then 10 minutes later I go to Sandi’s blog and THERE IT IS!!!!! I should have known!!!
Thank you! I’ll be looking for a CASEd version of this card 😉
Oh you know it!!!! 😀
