So, now you know about my struggles with technology. Hard to believe that I had a career in information technology that spanned 22 years! But I guess this demonstrates that you must work at something on a regular basis, in order to grow. That applies to technology, relationships, the arts, everything.
My paper craft journey started as a scrapbooker in 2001. But it was 3 more years before I even considered card making. Yesterday was my sister’s birthday. Below are 2 cards I sent to her – one in 2004 and the other in 2010. Can you see the difference? (And, yes, the new one is a re-make of one I posted the other day. Remember, I’m having a technology problem here!)
The point is that I’ve grown and developed my card making skills. And you can, too. Make cards more often. If you aren’t confident enough to design your own, look to the many magazines and web pages for inspiration.
If you’re still stuck, then take a class. I offer classes in my home every month. I take the stress of design off your plate. All my cards can be duplicated again at home. And it’s fun to sit around my table with a group of other like-minded women!

Start with a card you like, and go from there. The possibilities are endless. And so is the joy!
