One of my favorite new embellishments in the 2010 Idea Book & Catalog are the flat-back rhinestones. Maybe it's because I spent so many years gluing crystals on skating dresses, who knows? But I just love the sparkle these items add to my cards!
There are many advantages of these jewels over the traditional rhinestone brads. Here are the top 3:
- They already have glue on the back, making them super easy to attach to your cardstock.
- There are more in a pack of jewels (150) than a box of brads (80), and for less than half the price!
- They are clear, not colored, making them more versatile – they pick up the surrounding colors of the card.
Besides all that, they come in more sizes. I could go on and on, but I won't. Just stay tuned for cards I make using these sparkly items. They add the right amount of bling!!
And, by the way, if you're looking to add a touch of elegance, use the Basic Pearl Jewels. They are so beautiful!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Sandi
