Razzleberry Thanks

If I had to name the most important technique in card making and scrapbooking, it would have to be layering. Adding layers to your handstamped project is the perfect way to add dimension and richness.

Look at today's sample.

  Razzleberry thanks

It started as a much simpler card. There was one layer of Rich Razzleberry on the Whisper White card base. Thanks was stamped on Whisper White, then matted on Basic Black, then another layer of Whisper White. It was nice … but boring.

But look at it now! Eight – count them, eight – layers of cardstock. The sentiment pops, the Rich Razzleberry satin ribbon pops and the two tiny Basic Pearl Jewels at the top of the black matt look elegant. (Trust me, the photo does not do this card justice.)

I also used my Big Shot with the Textured Impressions Elegant Bouquet embossing folder and a white gel pen to add interest to the background. Add a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the centered sentiment. How cute is that? And so easy!

If you like this card, please let me know by leaving a comment. And by the way, a version of this will be included in next week's class, so don't forget to sign up!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Sandi
