Blue is a Fall Color, too!

With all the fall cards I've been designing, I've neglected the cool colors, specifically BLUE. How could I do that? Blue is my favorite color!

No need to worry, here is a fall card that uses lots of blue.

FrenchFoliage06

Once again, I'm using the French Foliage stamp set,  with the sentiment from Day of Gratitude. Cardstock is Baja Breeze – I'm so glad they brought this color back – Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla. I punched the sentiment using the Extra Large Decorative Label Punch (mine arrived yesterday!) and sponged the edges for added dimension. Of course, the Stampin' Dimensionals beneath helped a lot!

The ribbon received special attention. I would have liked to use a Baja Breeze ribbon, but we don't have any. And I'm not fond of dying ribbon, because I make too much of a mess. So, I secured Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon around the cardstock. Then I tied two small strands of Very Vanilla and Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon around the large strand. The Very Vanilla softened the Marina Mist. Isn't that cool?

I think I'm going to experiment with other colors and the Taffeta Ribbon. What do you think? Do you like to mix different colors of ribbon on your cards. Please let me know by leaving a comment.

Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
