A Card with Almost No Stamping

I like to try all kinds of techniques. Here is my latest experiment … a card with almost no stamping!

So Happy For You02

The card is on a Whisper White base, so it's a little difficult to see in the photo. But the 4 colored strips of paper from the In-Color Designer Series Paper Pack (a Level 1 Hostess Set) are staggered back and forth. I punched out the flower shape, using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. Then I took one of each flower and glued it along the white space, that is, the strip near the bottom. Of course the flowers were calling to me for Basic Pearls in their centers! The sentiment is from the So Happy For You Sale-A-Bration stamp set.

I just realized something. I made this card almost for free! And you could, too. I'm thinking of you because it's time to Sale-A-Brate!!

Sorry – a terrible pun, but the sentiment is true!

So, what do you think? Do you ever make a card with almost no stamping? Let me know in the Comments section below.

Until next time,
Happy stamping!
Sandi

  1. Oh, not to worry. I’m not talking about retiring your stamp sets – just give them a short break!

Clever and cute and a great way to use up those scraps of pretty paper! And I love the bitty punch outs, both negative and positive. With the right kind of paper and the right embellishments, it is totally possible to make a beautiful card with virtually no stamping. But my stamps would be very unhappy!!
