3 Reasons to Use Your Stash

I admit it – I'm guilty of hoarding my stamping supplies. Not the stamps, ink and solid colored card stock, but all those beautiful embellishments like ribbon, buttons, glitter. And doesn't forget all the Designer Series Paper. The list goes on and on.

Paper

Do you see that middle drawer in my cart? It's full of retired Designer Series Paper … all from the last 12 months! Why, oh why, didn't I use it on scrapbooks and cards?

Do you hoard your supplies? How much ribbon is sitting in your craft area? Take control of the situation and use it! Here are 3 good reasons to use those products in your stash:

  1. If kept too long, they will look dated – You bought these items in the first place, because you liked them. Don't let them fall out of style!
  2. They represent a lost financial opportunity – You already spent the money on them. Why not enjoy them now?
  3. They are just taking up useful real estate -  If you use them, you'll have more room for new supplies!

Seriously, though, you need to use these products. I've committed to using mine. In the last couple of weeks, I pulled out the vellum, Watercolor Pencils, Big Shot dies … These were all sitting – ever so lonely – in my craft room.

But I didn't just use them just for the sake of using them. I updated the purpose and look of each product. I created new projects and we are all happier than ever!

What are you going to work with on your next projects? Let me know!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Sigh….hoarding…it’s a sickness. And there’s no antidote. You just gotta hold your nose and grab a sheet of some really gorgeous paper and DO SOMETHING with it!! But do it for someone really special and you’ll feel so much better!!
