Sorry about the long absence. I really don't know what happened to the time. I've been busy, but not here. But it's a new day and I'm back to basics … Card Design. Here is today's post.
With the approach of Mother's Day, I think I've gone a little vintage! I used the Baby Blossoms (wood #121927 or clear #122000) and the Thanks for Caring (wood #121901 or clear #121961) stamp sets from the Occasions mini. But if you just change the sentiment, it can be used for lots of occasions – Easter, Passover, Sympathy, and so on.
Colors are Pear Pizzazz, Rose Red and So Saffron. I used some Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Seam Binding (#122330), the Extra Large Decorative Label Punch (#120907), and Basic Pearl Jewels (#119247). Of course there are also some Stampin' Dimensionals and sponging … those items are staples in my card designs!
And, just a quick reminder, that the Occasions mini sales period ends on April 30. So, if you want to purchase any of the stamp sets used today, or other items from that mini catalog, don't delay. You have less than 2 weeks left.
Many of us make cards for winter holidays. But do you make any especially for springtime? Leave a comment and let me know!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
Sandi
I feel the same way. I think that’s why I used so many colors in the flowers. I needed it to be very bright and cheery … and nothing like winter.
Super sweet – very vintage!!
I always make a “Happy Spring” card, often sandwiched in with Easter. Illinois winters are so rough, I think it’s an absolute must to celebrate when we survive another one! Although this one is hanging on for so long, I wonder if I’ll have to say “Happy Spring” along with “Happy 4th of July”!
