As I explained on the weekend, I've caught Royal Wedding Fever. I'm not a groupie, reading everything I can find on William and Kate. But I will be getting up at 3 am on Friday to watch the romantic event of the year.
This week I'm featuring wedding cards, just to help you get into the mood. This is one I made for the son of one of my good friends.
I had a lot of difficulties taking the photo – a common problem (for me) when contrasting black and white/vanilla.
This sentiment was stamped with Wedding Sweet (#115466) and the background on the gold card stock was stamped with swirls from Baroque Motifs (#113490). The bride and group are represented by heart shapes. The groom's tie is made from a small knotted piece of Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. Pearl Basic Jewels are down the front of the bride's dress. Of course, now that I'm looking at this photo, I realize that I forgot to add the bride's bouquet! (I'm glad the real bride had hers!)
For extra fun, the hearts can be be dry embossed with Embossing Folders and the Big Shot!
Black, gold and Vanilla. Always a classic.
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
Sandi
Thanks. Maybe I should have sent it to William and Catherine? Lol.
Very elegant but also clever at the same time. Too bad the gold background doesn’t show as well here as it does in person. Quite royal!!
