Butterfly of Hope

Until this year, I never stamped a butterfly on my cards. I used them on invitations. I used one on a trivet. But never a card. At least, not until Stampin' Up! introduced the Strength & Hope stamp set.

Don't you just love this butterfly? So much detail. I also used the Big Shot with the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#123113). Card stock colors are Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point and Whisper White. But I used Peach Parfait, So Saffron and Tangerine Tango on the butterflies.

To really highlight the dry embossing, I sponged over the image and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to each flower. There is also a row of them down the body of the mail butterfly. It may not be easy to sea, but I cut out the top one and attached it to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

This card was really easy to put together, but I think it looks like I spent hours on it! And remember, Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from each sale of this set to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Happy spring!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
