I'm going to a meeting tomorrow and need a shoebox swap – something fast and easy to make. So, this is what I designed.
Once again I chose the butterfly from Strength & Hope. Until August 31, Stampin' Up will donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation from the sale of each of these stamp sets. Isn't that a great idea?
To make the trailing hearts, I stamped the butterfly on card stock, then stamped the hearts. It's almost as good as patterned paper!
Colors are Rich Razzleberry, Wisteria Wonder (a new In Color) and Certainly Celery. I find this to be a rich, late summer color combination!
You can't see it even on the close-up, but I added a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the butterfly's head and each heart. I guess you'll just have to make one yourself, to see how very cute this card is!
I'm thinking of including a card, based on this design, in this month's card class. What do you think?
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
Sandi
I’m so pleased that you could see all the “hidden” meanings. Makes me feel like an artist!!
Thanks!
I love this butterfly! It’s so elegant! And how clever are you to use it to punch out the hearts! It looks like the butterfly is leaving a trail of love behind as it flies off. Very sweet.
