Leaves from Taffeta Ribbon

Leaves from Taffeta Ribbon? Who ever heard of such a thing? Well, I just couldn't add green to this card. What do you think?

Even the flower is stamped on Designer Series Paper

This card is on a Whisper White card stock base. The main flower is from Mixed Bouquet, my favorite stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog. I stamped images from Delicate Doilies on the base. but I used Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper for the other images. The "leaves" are made from strips of Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. I like the effect.

I've used ribbons for leaves before, but they are always shades of green. This may not seem like much to you, but it's definitely stepping outside the box for me. I like everything to be precise … even my aritistic projects!

Tell me what you think about leaves from taffeta ribbon. Are you willing to try it?

Until next time,
Sandi

  1. Don’t think I ever have used ribbon for leaves. Love the idea. and since I have a few flower stamps……

  2. Somebody is really working on their New Year’s Resolution – get out of the comfort zone! Since there are no “leaf police”, I think we can make leaves out of any color, any material, any thing!!! And we should! Super cute card.
