Snowflake or doily – which is it? Many of you know, I like my stamping tools and supplies to have more than one use. It makes me feel like I'm getting good value for my money. I bought the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper because I love the laser-cut doilies. But, really, how many doilies can one person use? And especially in orange and pink? Well, the back of the doily is white and that got me thinking ….
With the colored side up, I held the doily on the Concord Crush card stock and applied Frost White Shimmer Paint to it, using a Sponge Dauber. Isn't that an interesting effect? Then the rest was easy. I added the doily, applied Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to it and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center.
I used a Stampin' Dimensional to attach the snowflake to the card front. Actually, I cut a Stampin' Dimensional in four, so that you wouldn't see it! It's really quite pretty.
What other uses can you find for the laser-cut doilies? We now know about the snowflake doilies. But there has to be other ways to use them. Leave a comment below and let me know. Thanks!
Until next time,
Sandi
Thanks!! It really makes my day when someone is inspired by something I make.
I LOVE this look. You are inspiring me- which I need right now! Great ideas.
Sounds like a challenge. I’m up for it 😉
Pretty, pretty! Snowflake, doily — what’s in a name?? Gotta be a way to maybe pleat it and layer it and turn it into a flower?
