Love & Laughter – isn't that a great name for a wedding stamp set?
When I first saw the Love & Laughter in the Occasions Mini catalog, I wasn't excited about it. I'm usually not crazy about works printed in shapes. But, upon closer inspection, I started to feel inspired. My card design is still fairly ordinary, but it's only my first step. Even after all these years of stamping and crafting, I take baby steps!
Colors are Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White. I used Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon and a Clear Rhinestone Brad. Of course, I punched the sentiment with the Modern Label Punch and sponged the edges. The background was created by running Concord Crush card stock through my Big Shot with the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. But the best surprise element is the use of Basic Pearl Jewels on the straps and the waistband of the wedding dress! (I admit it. I was inspired to do this by a card I received in a swap.)
This card has lots of dimension, thanks to the use of Stampin' Dimensionals. You can see this better in this close-up photo.
While the stamp set is from the Occasions Mini, all the other products I used are from the Idea Book & Catalog. When was the last time you looked though it? I'm still finding new things in it!
Well, it's the weekend. Time for rest and relaxation. Have a wonderful weekend. And take some time for Love & Laughter!
Until next time,
Sandi
That’s why I post these projects – so that you can borrow them. Any time, my friend!
Okay, still can’t remember what I wrote before but I love the card! That embossing folder is one of my favorites because it isn’t an all-over design. Subtle but still very interesting. Love the off-set focal image of the dress and the pearl “spaghetti straps” are so sweet! I would borrow that idea in a heartbeat! Well, you know I will even without saying so! 🙂
Ha ha! Don’t force it. I’m sure it will come back to you!
Shoot, I posted yesterday and now I don’t see it!!! Gotta try to remember what I said!
