Be Mine, Valentine

Be Mine, Valentine. A little mushy for me, but I do like the sentiment. Here's a card where I played with it.

The stamped hearts and the polka dots remind me of the candy I used to eat when I was a little girl.

This is such a simple design. I stamped the hearts and sentiment using the Candy Conversations stamp from the Occasions Mini. Card stock colors are Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo and Basic Black. I find the black balances the very bright pink.

Because the design is so simple, the embellishments are needed to create interest. First I added some Melon Mambo 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon to break up the black. Then I used my Big Shot with some of the tools introduced in the Occasions Mini – The raised polka dots were created with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the scallop edge was created using the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies. Take a closer look below.

There are scallops on the scallops!

Of course, the 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the lower corner add that special touch.

So, if this card is going to an adult, make it exactly as I show it. If it's going to a child, skip the Rhinestone! But, in any case, this card is for someone special. Be Mine, Valentine!

Until next time,
Sandi
