Elementary Elegance

Elementary Elegance – I love that name for anything. So, of course, I love that name for the Sale-A-Bration stamp set. Here is the card I designed, inspired by a card I receive in a swap from Wanda Johnson. Click on photo to see it larger.

I wish you caould see the pearl above the "Hello" on the point.

The original card was landscape in orientation, on a Riding Hood Red base. I tend to use Crumb Cake for a more casual look. But I thought I would try it here. Whisper White would have been fine, but a little too harsh. Some about the brown tones make the red POP.

The stamp set is Elementary Elegance from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. That means you can earn it for free when you spend $50 (before shipping and tax). Have you placed your Sale-A-Bration order yet? If not, don't wait too long. March 31 will be here before you know it.

The Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon are both from the Occasions Mini catalog. The Pearl Basic Jewel and Corner Rounder Punch are from the Idea Book & Catalog. Of course, I used Stampin' Dimensionals! This card is so beautiful, yet it took little time to prepare. Looks truly elegant.

I think it defines Elementary Elegance. What do you think? Please leave a comment and let me know!

  1. Do you want me to send you a list of products I used? I can. Don’t forget that you can earn the Elementary Elegance stamp set during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order.

  2. I try not to hoard my stamping and scrapping products. And it’s not easy. But I inherited a dinner set – fine china – from my mother. She owned it for 15 years and used it probably 20 times. It’s in great condition, but she rarely enjoyed it.

Looking through my huge cache of retired products, I find that many are now outdated, and some are even in sealed packaging. Now, what is the point in that? Better to enjoy it now. I can always buy more 😀

  3. That Twitterpated paper is just so precious!!! Aren’t you tempted to hoard it away and just take it out and pet it every now and then?? I totally agree about Crumb Cake — I probably use it more often than I should be it really does let the other colors shine without being overpowering. (And love the butterflies, of course!)
