Happy April Birthday!!!

I think April should be the start of the new year – No joke. The weather is usually good. We’re done with snow. There is so much to look forward to. (Not to mention, it’s my favorite daughters’ birthday – the joke was on me!) So, here is a springlike birthday card to celebrate the day.

Happy April Birthday - http://stampedimpression.comDoesn’t this card design say, “Spring!” to you? Colors are Pistachio Pudding, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Whisper White. Fun, fun, fun!

I stamped the stem and leaves using Bloom with Hope, a hostess set that will retire with the current catalog on June 2. Then I added flowers punches with the Petite Petals Punch, sponging the edges with Melon Mambo ink. Pink Pirouette Candy Dots were added to the centers.

The sentiment was created by cutting the “Happy” with the Hello You Thinlits Dies. (Sorry. These are on back order and expected to arrive at the Stampin’ Up! warehouse in about a week.) “Birthday” was stamped with the Crazy About You stamp set from the Occasions catalog.

Of course you can buy these products in a bundle, saving 15%. But not until the back order is filled. Sigh. I’m glad I ordered early. Note to self: When you REALLY want something from the catalog, any catalog, you need to order it right away.

Note the fun layering on this card. I had a white base. Then I added Pistachio Pudding and another Whisper White layer. Finally, I added Whisper White on top, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Very special.

Note to Robyn & Deanna: No, this is not the card I made for either of you for your birthday. You will need to wait until you’re home this weekend to see your cards. I’ll show them on this blog next week.

Happy birthday, Robyn and Deanna!

Happy April Birthday, to everyone else!

  1. Glad the girls liked their cards! I had no idea you used the “happy” thinlit too! Definitely great minds!

    1. It’s my most-used die this month. I hope that IF it retires, then there are other words to take its place!

    1. The girls loves their cards. We both used Hello Thinlits on their birthday cards this year. Great minds really do think alike!!!!

  2. Ooh! Love it!!! I have really been enjoying the Hello Thinlits! They add so much punch as a sentiment. And Melon Mambo is one of my FAVORITE colors!!! Just realized I have ALL of these SU products so all I have to do is zip down to the craft room and I, too, can make this fabulous card! Woo hoo!! Hey, boss — can I leave early today???

    1. I never responded to this comment. I didn’t know what was PC, given the request to leave work early. I’m sure that you worked out a suitable arrangement LOL. Thanks for the compliments!!
