Bright Mixed Bouquet

Today I created a Bright Mixed Bouquet – I'm getting ready for spring! Click on the photo for a larger image.

Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red & Island Indigo. Wow!

Stamp sets are Mixed Bouquet (from the Occasions Mini) and Trendy Trees. Although you can't tell from the photo, in real life it's obvious that the flower has 5 layers. Each was stamped and punched out. I used Stampin' Dimensionals between the yellow layer and the inner blue one. The whole thing was attached to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals and I added a Basic Rhinestone Jewel to the center. Fun!

Colors of the card base are Riding Hood Red, So Saffron and Calypso Coral. This is definitely not one of my typical color combinations! I started with some more subdued shades, but then began to swap colors in and out. I never would have guessed in a million years that I would ever end up here.

The real fun part was working with the ribbon. I used both Marina Mist 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and Calypso Coral 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon. Definitely more fun than strips of card stock.

So, if you need a little pick-me-up on this dull winter day, then think about a Bright Mixed Bouquet!

  1. Calypso Coral – when I first saw that color, I thought that I would NEVER use it. I guess you should never say “never”…

  2. These colors make me so glad that Spring is just around the corner! That Calypso Coral is just a happy color!
