I'm now ready for an Elegant Flower Card Design. After having a little fun with the last couple card projects, I'm ready to do something a little more formal. I can imagine giving this card to my aunt, who I is one of the most fascinating women I've ever met.
Stamp sets are Apothecary Art and Bordering on Romance, both from the Occasions Mini. My colors are primarily Blushing Bride and Basic Gray, with a little Riding Hood Red for contrast. When I first saw the Apothecary Art stamp set, I found it to be very formal, but since I've used it a bit, I'm over that. The design's a little more formal than some of the other stamp sets. However, it's just so beautiful, It find it's impossible not to use!
The stamped flower image was stamped, then colored with Stampin' Write Markers. I punched it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Die, added a couple of Basic Pearl Jewels, and attached to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Simple, and very pretty.
I trimmed the right margin of the card front with the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die. (Obviously, I'm a big fan of the new slim dies for my Big Shot!) To make it show out better, I glued a 1" strip of the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper on the inside of the card. Here is a closer look. As always, click on the photo for a larger view.
So, all that is left to do, is write a short note and mail it to my aunt. I'm sure that she'll love it. Who wouldn't love this Elegant Flower Card Design?
That paper – and the other corresponding accessories – are just too cute. And, yet, they go so well with the elegant stamp set. Who would have imagined that?
This is even prettier in person! I’m so glad I ordered the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies (and the corresponding embossing folders!). Now with this little cutie for inspiration, I’m off to the craft room!!!! (Probably better get some of that Twitterpated paper, too. Just love that name!!)
If I don’t do it this month, we’ll do it next month. Promise!!
Love this card- can we make it for card club? Or something like it? pretty please?
