I can't believe that there are only 4 days left in Sale-A-Bration! So, I continue my frantic design of cards using the Sale-A-Bration gift products. Today I used both the Fresh Vintage and Elementary Elegance stamp sets.
Here is my first card.
Simple design – 3 layers of paper/card stock. I stamped the main image on the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, another Sale-A-Bration freebie. Definitely an interesting thing to do! Then I wound some LInen Thread around the paper, before adhering it to the card base. So simple.
While the paper layers are symmetrical, the rest of the card is not. There is shading on the Designer Series Paper, the stamped image is not symmetrical, and the stamped image is not symmetrical. By the way, I also punched tiny holes around the edge of the paper … in a non-symmetrical pattern. If you click on the photo, you may be able to see the holes in the larger view. If not, here is a closer look at one of the corners. 3 holes at the top and 2 along the side, fiurther down.
By the way, take a look at the inside. Besides stamping flowers on the card base, I stamped 3 on the Designer Series Paper and punched them out!
My next card is definitely symmetrical. I can't work outside the box all the time 😉
I used the card stock and Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper in a much more traditional way on this card. Basic Rhinestones add that special touch to my simple card.
Well, I really need to get back to my craft room. Remember, there are still 4 more days left in Sale-A-Bration!
The stamps were fun to do. I may do a similar card at Card Class one time.
and love these!!! (see Facebook posting)
