You know that approach for "saving the best for last" – Well, today I'm showing my 2 favorite cards made with Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. The first is inspired by a design by Janice Weightman. She's my "adopted" upline. (My upline closed her business a few years ago and Janice is the next demonstrator directly above me.)
This is a fun, youthful card. The stamped images are from Sprinkled Expressions. Colors are Real Red, Pacific Point and Whisper White. Because the card has such simple, clean lines, I added texture to the white card stock. The larger rectangle was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool on the smaller white card stock. Notice that I varied the width of the stripes.
My next card design is more elegant. The stamped flowers are from the Fresh Vintage stamp set. I colored the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers, so I could have multiple colors in the image. Colors are Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant and Certainly Celery.
I added Dazzling Details, a carry-over item from the last Holiday Mini, on the flowers to give them extra sparkle. Take a closer look here.
I hope you've earned all the Sale-A-Bration products that you wanted. I found that this year's selection really appealed to a lot of different styles of card making and scrapcooking. It was fun to experiment with them. I'm going to miss the stamp sets, in particular. But don't worry. There are lots of new things coming up. Be sure to check back here on Monday!
Thank you! I find the color experimentation lots of fun! And challenging….
