Portrait of a Trendy Tree – I just love this stamp set. And it's another one on the Retiring List.
On this card, I used the Trendy Trees stamp set – both as a focal point and on the background. I stamped the tree – notice the perfect placement of the trunk, thanks to my handy Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! After stamping, I ran the card stock through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To make it stand out, I sponged the edges with Always Artichoke, matching the tree leaves. I also inserted Mini Silver Brads on either side.
The Designer Series Paper is Pocketful of Posies. I couldn't decide which side of the paper to use, as they are both so pretty and fun. So, I used both by turning up one corner! Here is a closer look. As on all my project photos, you can click on it to see a larger view.
To keep the layers even more interesting, I placed one Stampin' Dimensional under the folded corner of the paper. Then I placed a Stampin' Dimensional under the other three corners of the main image.
By the way, the stamped Baja Breeze circles that are on the front of the card, are also stamped on the inside. I love to stamp on the inside of my cards. They should never be naked!
Do you stamp on the inside of your cards? Or the envelopes? Please leave a comment below and let us know!
Portrait of a Trendy Tree. Ahhh.
Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin’ Up! believes that an envelope should NEVER be naked 😀
horrors! naked envelopes!! not on my watch! 🙂
Don’t forget that envelope. It should never be naked!
Trendy Trees is just one of the cutest little stamp sets!! I have to remember to use it more often. And I have recently started stamping on the inside of my cards and it’s such fun!! And of course we have to stamp the envelope flap, too!! 🙂
