Loving that Happy You, Friend!

I'm loving the Happy You hostess set – especially the stamp of the flowers in the boot, labeled Friend. It's just stinking cute and I can't get enough of it! Take a look at today's design. Remember, you can always see a larger image by clicking on the photo.

Happy Flowers in a Boot. Happy Friend. Happy You!

I stamped the boot and colored it with my Stampin' Write Markers. I added Rhinestones to the flower centers. Then I punched it out with the Extra Large Oval Punch and mounted it on card stock that I ran through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames Folder.  Can you see the embossed oval surrounding the white card stock?

Remember, I'm not real comfortable with bright colors. So, I tempered the Rich Razzleberry card stock and Old Olive on the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper with some Baja Breeze. Definitely makes me more comfortable!

I don't often use a dark color for my card base, because it is difficult to read the hand-written note inside. So, I added some white card stock and additional paper to the inside. I even left a skinny border around the white rectangle, to set it off. Kind of cool. Easy to write on. And super easy to read. I call this a win-win.

Repeat Designer Series Paper on the inside for a cohesive design.

  1. I understand about the DSP. We all do that. It’s called hoarding. And it’s so silly. I have paper that I’ve hoarded for so long, it’s now looking dated. Better to use it and enjoy it!

  2. I really must start using more DSP. When I finally talk myself into buying some, I have an even harder time talking myself into USING it!! Why is that???? Also, I love this little rain boot. Makes me think of Brooke. She has 2 pairs and I have personally seen her splashing through puddles!!
