I see Betsy’s Blossoms -and Hearts – in Nature

Betsy's Blossoms is one of the most versatile stamp sets in our annual catalog. The big flower is large enough to have shapes punched within it. Look at this card design.

How many Betsy's Blossoms hearts can you count on this card?

The tree leaves are made from the Full Heart Punch. I also punched a couple of circles (1" Circle Punch and 1-1/4" Circle Punch) for the lower leaves. Here is a close up of the heart in the upper left quadrant of the tree. Can you pick it out?

Can you see the heart shape?

The main colors are Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight and Summer Starfruit. It was a combination that I came up with while "smooshing" one day. (Read the blog post on Smooshing.) I really like this combination. I'm going to have to work with it more in the future!

While many of my card designs are monochromatic, this one has a punch of Cherry Cobbler (Yum!) and Chocolate Chip (Double yum!). Do you think there's a connection between delicious food and the colors I like?!

Finally, just to complete the heart theme, I used the Adorning Accents embossing folder 125601 with my Big Shot 113439 along the bottom of the card front.

I guess you can say that this happy cared makes me feel the love! Maybe that's why I see Betsy's Blossoms hearts in nature!

  1. How I wish my brain had the creativity that you have- I would NEVER think of using the heart punch for the tree. But I love it. And I love it when we use a tool/stamp in a different way. Feels so virtuous! Thanks for a wonderful idea.
