How to Use Card Kit Parts to Make a Card

Here’s another example of how to use card kits parts to make a card.

Use Card Kit Parts to Make a CardThe most important elements on this card came from the Good as Gold Card Kit, a product you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration:

  • Designer Series Paper with the gold foil dots,
  • Gold Elastic Cord,
  • Gold Foil Banner.

Gold is HOT now! These gold elements add that special touch to this celebratory card!

The stamped sentiment is from See Ya Later, one of the most fun stamps sets I’ve been using. Of course, that’s also a product you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration.

Here are the instructions for making this card. Use the photo to determine the placement of each piece on the finished product. Unless stated otherwise, Use SNAIL Adhesive to glue all pieces.

  1. Cut 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ from Strawberry Slush card stock. Score at 4-1/4″ and fold on the scored line to make the card base.
  2. Run Basic Black card through the Big Shot die-cutting machine with the third smallest oval in the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. Repeat with Bermuda Bay card stock. Lay one on top of the other and cut in half.
  3. Using Bermuda Bay ink, stamp the sentiment on Whisper White card stock. Run through the Big Shot with the second smallest oval in the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies. Assemble the final oval with a mat that is half Basic Black and half Bermuda Bay. Add a gold foil banner under it.
  4. Cut 3-3/4″ x 5″ from Basic Black card stock.
  5. Cut 2-2/2″ x 3-1/2″ from Designer Series Paper. Attach to the black rectangle from the previous step. Attach the oval piece on top. Tie a strand of gold elastic cord around the bottom. Secure on the back with regular tape. Attach the whole piece to the card front.
  6. You’re done!

Of course, you can always substitute colors or stamp sets. You can even use different sized ovals. But the idea is there. How cute is this? Yet the gold adds some fun and, dare I say it, elegance!
