Throwback Thursday. You never know when it’s going to strike. While searching through my card stash, I came across this really cute card … that I posted on June 4, 2012.
However, I can’t reproduce it in exactly the same way. The Designer Series Paper is retired, as it the ribbon. The same holds true for the stamped sentiment. However, I have similar Stampin’ Up! products that are “current”. So I set to work.
It’s just that it’s always WAY more fun to make up new card designs, than to just repeat previously used ones. Before I knew it, I was pulling out card stock and stamps and, of course, my Big Shot.
Here is the design I came up with.
The Whisper White and the Island Indigo remain the same. (I know – it photographed differently. Sheesh!) Then I added Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry – they’re current colors since the color Renovation last year. Banners are so popular now. I just needed to add a few, using my Banners Framelits Dies.
Of course, I kept the feature stamp set, Bright Blossoms. I simply replaced the matted rectangles with ovals cut using the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies.
Did you notice the Gorgeous Grunge background? Who would expect grunge on a definitely feminine style? I would! Definitely.
So, the next time you’re stuck for some inspiration, try a Throwback Thursday. You never know where it will lead!
