Smooch Spritz is one of the coolest additions to the Stampin' Up! catalog. First introduced in a seasonal mini catalog, it has moved to the main Idea Book & Catalog as a regular accessory. This pearlized, glittery accent spray comes in 4 different colors – Golden Glow, Silver Foil, Vanilla Shimmer and Log Cabin. I use it everywhere. I've experimented with it and find it's a welcome addition to many of my cards.
But I'm often asked when should someone use it? Hmmm. Since many people like rules and guidelines, I've come up with the top 3 uses for Smooch Spritz:
- To highlight a focal point – spritz on the central image of the card, especially if it is matted.
- To add texture to the background of the card front.
- To add shades of other color to the card – this is especially true when using either Golden Glow or Log Cabin.
Look at today's card.
I used Golden Glow Smooch Spritz both on the center block, where the pumpkin and sentiment are stamped. I also used it on the Cajun Craze cardstock on the background. It's difficult to see in the photo, but it definitely adds dimension when you look at it in person!
The other products used on this card are Paisley Prints and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke cardstock, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Tearing Edge and Stampin' Dimensionals.
Doesn't this card get you in the mood for the holidays?! I'm starting to look through my cookbooks. Yum!
Why don't you share your favorite Thanksgiving food in the Comments section?
Until next time,
Happy Stamping,

First of all…love, love, love Smooch Spritz! It makes such a beautiful glow. I just wish it was easier to say!
Favorite Thanksgiving food — that’s a tough one! Probably turkey. And turkey leftovers! Ooh, and pie! Wait, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy! Ack! Can I get back to you on that?
