Today, my new issue of Stampin' Success arrived in the mail. This is a monthly publication that I receive, as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I've been watching for this publication's arrival, because it was just entirely revamped. I always look forward to reading Stampin' Success, but this month I was even more interested.
As I thumbed through the pages, I started to think about all the things I enjoy about being a demonstrator. Things like this magazine. Through this publication, Stampin' Up! provides me with both artistic inspiration and business information. While both are important to me, they are not the principal reasons I love having my own stamping business.
The best part of having my own stamping business is being in control of my career. As a business owner I control:
- The direction my company follows,
- The income that I earn, and
- The hours that I work.
In the Stampin' Up! world, they call it working My Way. Under this philosophy, I have the ability and the authority to run my business as I wish. I choose the types of offerings and service to provide. I don't depend on someone else to determine whether I receive a pay increase or bonus. I don't ask anyone to approve my time off.
Of course there are certain parameters of the business. For example, I must achieve quarterly sales quotas, set by Stampin' Up! However, with all the control that that I have in running my own business, I can easily achieve that. And much more. My stamping business fits into my lifestyle – not the other way around.
And, on top of that, I enjoy my work. I wake up each morning feeling happy to do what I do. How many of us can say that?
So, if you're unhappy at your current job, or you're looking to make a career change, or you just want to make a little extra money, think about owning your own stamping business. You don't need to be a paper crafter. You don't need to have unlimited time to work the business. You need is the desire and commitment to make the business succeed. Together, we can make it happen.
During Sale-A-Bration there are several bonuses to encourage people to sign up. Many see these as "freebies", but they are really much more than that. They are free tools to support and grow your business. What more could someone ask for when starting her business?
So, if you think this is a good time to start your stamping business, talk to me. Together, we can find a way to make it happen, to make it fit in with your lifestyle and commitments! Feel free to drop me an email (sandi@stampedimpression.com) and we'll get started. I'd be delighted to have you join my team.
