Here is a most festive, cute, fun, easy to make Welcome Baby card! Take a look:
I started with Zoo Babies – a favorite stamp set from the Annual Catalog. I don’t use it very often, but that’s only because I don’t have the opportunity to make many cards for new babies.
Colors are Bermuda Bay and Pool Party, just to keep things neutral!
I was able to make the design every more interesting, but using some awesome tools from Stampin’ Up!
Don’t you just love polka dots? I do. I can’t decide which I prefer – polka dots or stripes. But i digress….
I used the Dots & Stripes Decorative Masks and a Stamping Sponge to make the polka dot background on the central piece of Whisper White card stock. (I tried a brayer, but it didn’t work as well.) These masks are stencils that you can use on your cards to create background patterns ever so quicly!
I also added some little flags on the left, punched with the Banner Punch.
The sentiment, from Petite Pairs, was matted and attached to the right of the giraffe. That provided the correct balance to the over card design.
Finally, I attached the central unit – the stamped card stock with its mat – to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Love it!
By the way, I added the second part of the sentiment to the inside of the card. Look on the left!
There’s one other piece of interesting news I can share about making this card… The Banner Punch is on sale as part of the Weekly Deals. Combine this with the Stamp, Stock and Save promotion, and you can do some serious shopping-and-saving! But, only until Monday, October 6.
So, if you’re looking for an easy to make Welcome Baby card, (and at a cost savings) then start with this design!
