How to Make an Easy Thank You Card

We all look for shortcuts, even when it comes to a favorite past time like card making! To that end, I’m showing how to make an easy Thank You card. Perfect theme for Canadian Thanksgiving!

Thank You - http://stampedimpression.comTrue Confession Time. I really wanted to make this card with some of the Designer Series Paper that I ordered during the Buy-3-Get-1-Free Stampin’ Up! promotion. But my paper hasn’t yet arrived and I became impatient. So, I experimented with a monochromatic design, with paper that I already had in my stash. What do you think?

Colors are Garden Green and Whisper White. I added 3 layers of card stock on the card base. The sentiment, from One Big Meaning, was stamped on scrap card stock. Then I cropped it and its mat using my Big Shot and the Layering Circles Framelits.

For quick background images, I used my 1″ Circle Punch and my 1-1/4″ Circle Punch on a sheet from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack. As they say, “Easy Peasy!”

By the way, I started with all circles, all attached to the card base with SNAIL Adhesive. It was easy, but a little boring. I wanted to sentiment to stand out from the background. However, I didn’t want to introduce another color. At least not on this design. So, what to do?

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals! Little pieces of foam with strong adhesive on both sides of it. Did you notice? I think it added just the right touch of emphasis, without changing the circle theme. Okay, second True Confession Time. The circles make me happy!

So, how can you use this card for inspiration?

Don’t need a Thank You card? Just change the sentiment!

Don’t like Garden Green and Whisper White? Just pick a different color of paper.

Don’t want a monochromatic design? Pick one of the papers now on sale at Stampin’ Up!

Any way you need it. Any way you look at it. This is an easy way to make a card!
